Vacation Bible School 2025 will run 9:15am-12pm daily, from July 21-25 at Covenant Christian Church, Wyoming, ON with a closing program at 7pm on Friday night.

Covenant Christian Church VBS: Special/Behavioural Needs Policy

Participation Expectations

We expect that all children enrolled in our VBS program willingly participate
as part of a small/ large group in all activities. These activities include
craft, music, Bible lesson, snack, and opening and closing assemblies.

We expect that children behave in a manner that is safe for all participants
and volunteers.

One-on-One Support

We welcome children of varying needs to our program. However, we are a
volunteer based program that values the safety and well-being of each
child involved. We have volunteers who are responsible for small groups of
children, but we do not have the means, or the expertise, to provide
one-on-one support for children who would require it.

If a child needs one-on-one support to participate due to behavioural,
physical, mental, social or other needs, we require the guardian to provide
their own support helper for the duration of the time the child is in
attendance. The support helper will need to know how to take care of the
individual. In addition, the helper will need to be approved by the VBS
coordinators and complete the same documentation as all VBS volunteers
(Vulnerable Sector Check and Policy to Protect paperwork).

Non- Compliant Behaviour

If a child is enrolled in VBS on their own, but is unwilling or unable to
participate in the programming without one-on-one support, the guardian
will receive a phone call and the child will need to be picked up.
